February 2010 NEWSLETTER

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

We hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year and that the worst of the bad weather is over.

Reminders...

• There are still bags and tea towels with the handprints of the children available. The bags cost £6 and the tea towels are £4.50. If you have not yet purchased one or the other, please remember that they are a nice memento of your child’s time at playgroup as well as being a fundraiser. Recent fundraising will go towards buying some special play equipment for the garden. More will be revealed soon...
• We would like to remind everyone to check when you are on duty and to please be on time on those days. This means arriving by 9:15 to help with setting up the play equipment. Congratulations to quite a few of you who are pregnant! Can everyone else please ensure that pregnant mums do not lift heavy equipment (especially the climbing frame).

Other Activities

A visit to the Botanic Gardens is currently being organised for a week in March but the dates will still have to be confirmed.

We’re expecting a visit from Adele from Dance-A-Story on Thursday 25th of Feb.  Just come to playgroup as normal and we hope you all have fun.

IMPORTANT

At the last committee meeting it was noticed that several members will be stepping down in the summer as their children will be moving on to nursery. It is vital that new members join the committee and would be willing to take on an active role after the summer.  Our next meeting is at Catriona Steven’s house, Beley Farm, Dunino on Wednesday 17^th March at 7.30pm; pop along and see if you fancy joining.  The playgroup cannot exist without a committee!

Keep your eye on the Playgroup website and direct any friends to it if they have any queries or would like to add their child to the waiting list..

To all new and returning parents a reminder that the day they are on duty they need to arrive no later than 9:15 to help Janet with the set up. If you are unable to be there on your appointed day it is your responsibility to find a replacement/swap. Please feel free to lend a hand at any time, especially when a full tidy up is required.
